Establishment of Community Vegetable Gardens: MADF established community vegetable gardens in schools and community households, benefiting over 900 people in Kasese District. These gardens promoted food security, nutrition, and sustainable agriculture practices.

Public Awareness and Promotion of Sustainable Farming: MADF raised public awareness on sustainable farming practices, including organic farming, agroforestry, and regenerative agriculture, reaching over 1000 individuals mostly from across five sub counties in Kasese District including Ibanda-Kyanya Town Council among others through on-site trainings and demonstrations.

Biochar and Organic Farming Skilling Initiative: Training sessions on biochar production and organic farming techniques empowered farmers with knowledge and skills to improve soil health and crop productivity. Over 500 individuals including from Woman Up women group in Katadoba Cell of Central Division among others have benefited from these sessions.

Flood Anticipatory Actions and Post-Harvest Handling Practices Initiative: MADF implemented flood anticipatory actions and post-harvest handling practices in flood hit areas of Kasese District including Nyamwamba Division, Bulembia Division among others, helping farmers adapt to climate variability and improve food security.

Overall Challenges included limited access to resources and technical expertise for implementing agribusiness initiatives at scale, and also Market access barriers for smallholder farmers, hindering income generation opportunities.
General lessons learned included among others Importance of tailored training and support programs to address the specific needs of smallholder farmers, and also Need for market linkages and value chain development to enhance the economic viability of agribusiness initiatives.
